Job summary

Chill Out A/C & Heating, Inc. in the Greater New Orleans area is seeking an experienced HVAC technician. Start each day from the Harahan/Elmwood warehouse and service residences across Metairie and surrounding communities, diagnosing problems and performing maintenance, repairs and installations.

You will explain findings clearly to homeowners and complete work to code. Record service details, inspect completed work, and keep areas organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across residential HVAC equipment.
• Ability to use software to record service details and job documentation.
• Valid driver's license and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC issues and perform maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Explain findings and recommended solutions to homeowners in clear terms.
• Complete each job to company standards and local codes.
• Record service details, invoices and photos using company software.
• Inspect work for quality and proper operation, keep areas organized.
• Safeguard vehicles and tools; pursue opportunities for upgrades.
• Deliver professional customer service on every service call.

Your New Role

• Start each day from the company's warehouse in the Harahan/Elmwood area before traveling to customer locations

• Service residential HVAC systems throughout Metairie, New Orleans, Kenner, Mandeville, and surrounding Greater New Orleans communities

• Diagnose equipment concerns and perform maintenance, repairs, and system installations

• Explain findings and recommended solutions in a way homeowners can easily understand

• Complete every job according to company standards and applicable local codes

• Record service details, invoices, job photos, and related documentation using company software

• Inspect completed work to verify quality and proper system operation

• Keep work areas organized while respecting customers' homes and property

• Safeguard company vehicles, equipment, and tools while in the field

• Identify appropriate opportunities where customers would genuinely benefit from HVAC system upgrades or improved equipment

• Deliver a professional customer experience on every service call.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 6 years of experience servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC systems

• EPA Certification required

• HVAC State License preferred but not required

• Valid driver's license

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across residential HVAC equipment

• Comfortable using software to complete service records and job documentation

• Able to lift HVAC equipment and work in attics, rooftops, crawl spaces, and similar environments

• Strong commitment to safe work practices and code compliance

• Additional HVAC trade certifications are a plus
