Job summary

Team Sunshine Construction is hiring a Residential Journeyman Electrician to support our growing HVAC division in the New England area. You will work with HVAC installers to wire heat pumps, install circuits, and ensure code-compliant electrical installations.

The ideal candidate has a valid Journeyman license, solid residential electrical experience, and strong NEC knowledge. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and deliver professional service in occupied homes.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Residential electrical experience required.
• Experience wiring heat pumps or HVAC equipment preferred.
• Strong NEC knowledge and ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect electrical systems for residential heat pump installations.
• Install dedicated branch circuits, disconnects, breakers, and associated electrical equipment.
• Complete electrical tie-ins for indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment.
• Install and terminate low-voltage control wiring for HVAC systems.
• Verify proper operation of newly installed HVAC equipment through electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation plans.
• Ensure all work complies with the NEC and local building codes.
• Coordinate daily with HVAC installers, project coordinators, and field supervisors to stay on schedule.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues encountered during installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Deliver professional customer service while working in occupied homes.
• Accurately complete required documentation and communicate field issues to management.

Position Overview

As a Residential Journeyman Electrician, you will work closely with our HVAC installers to complete the electrical scope of residential heating and cooling projects. Your primary responsibilities will include wiring and connecting heat pump systems, installing dedicated circuits, completing electrical service connections, and ensuring every installation meets local and national electrical code requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in residential environments throughout New England.

Key Responsibilities
