Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC trainer to lead hands-on technical training across our training facilities and active job sites.

You will mentor apprentices and support the growth of field and office staff in HVAC/mechanical scopes, while conducting skill evaluations for new hires and internal promotions. As a Technical HVAC trainer, you will design training content, deliver in-person instruction, and collaborate with subject matter experts to continuously improve programs,

Qualifications

• Active HVAC license or ability to obtain in Florida
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction
• Experience supervising and mentoring teams preferred
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for group instruction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and presentation tools

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person HVAC technical training to apprentices, field employees, and office staff
• Teach installation standards, safety expectations, and field procedures
• Conduct skill evaluations for new hires and internal promotions
• Mentor apprentices through classroom, lab, and on-site coaching
• Develop training content, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with codes
• Collaborate with SMEs and field leaders to improve programs
• Engage apprenticeship partners and industry organizations
• Represent Power Design in community recruitment and workforce initiatives
• Perform other duties as required
