Power Design is seeking an experienced HVAC trainer to lead hands-on technical training, mentor apprentices, and advance the technical growth of field and office staff across HVAC/mechanical scopes.

You will evaluate new hires, develop content, and partner with industry programs while supporting workforce development initiatives. The role emphasizes teaching, practical instruction, and continuous improvement within our training facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Active HVAC license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Florida.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.
• Strong communication and instructional skills.

Aufgaben

• Deliver in-person, hands-on HVAC training to apprentices and staff in training facilities.
• Teach Power Design Mechanical Best Practices, installation standards, safety expectations, and field procedures.
• Conduct technical skill evaluations for new hires and promotions.
• Mentor apprentices through classroom instruction, lab-based learning, and coaching.
• Design, develop, and maintain training content, lesson plans, job aids, and assessments.
• Partner with subject matter experts and field leaders to evaluate training effectiveness and drive improvement.
• Collaborate with apprenticeship partners and industry programs (IMC, ABC, NCCER).
• Represent Power Design in the community by supporting trade advocacy and workforce development.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
