Job summary

Washington Elementary School District is seeking an HVAC Technical Trainer to provide training, coaching, and mentoring to individuals pursuing HVAC technician roles. The trainer develops hands-on learning opportunities, demonstrates technical skills, and ensures safety codes compliance to prepare trainees for entry-level employment.

Under the Maintenance department, the trainer will guide students through OSHA, EPA, and AZSFB standards and assist in preparing for certifications such as EPA 608,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of professional HVAC experience.
• Ability to teach, mentor, or train others in a technical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, AZSFB standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers training modules on HVAC concepts including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Provides hands-on demonstrations and guides trainees in safe use of HVAC tools.
• Observes trainees and documents progress toward skill mastery.
• Ensures trainees understand applicable OSHA, EPA, and AZSFB standards and codes.
• Coordinates with supervisor to align training with district needs.
• Maintains daily logs of training activities and safety compliance.
