CoreWise Workforce Strategy Partners is seeking an experienced Systems Testing & Commissioning Technician to join a team that engineers and validates specialized environmental control equipment for data centers and critical facilities. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, diagnostics, and mentoring, with opportunities to support field testing and customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC, strong refrigeration expertise, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems (superheat/subcooling).
• Ability to diagnose complex refrigeration issues.
• Skilled reading electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of three-phase power and low-voltage controls.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication.
• Preferred: PLC control & VFD experience; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Test and commission custom-built HVAC equipment prior to shipment.
• Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and refrigeration prints.
• Verify equipment performance meets specs.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and VFDs when applicable.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve issues.
• Document testing results using computer-based systems.
• Support process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Travel occasionally for field testing or customer needs.
