Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Peoria, IL to install and maintain boilers, pumps, chillers, and hydronic systems. You’ll test equipment, analyze data, and provide recommendations to customers to ensure optimal performance.

The role involves troubleshooting, repairing pumps and valves, reading blueprints, and coordinating with repair teams to execute preventive maintenance plans. This onsite position emphasizes safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
• Electrical circuits and wiring knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written material.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment and controls to ensure safe operation and lifecycle performance.
• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and detect malfunctions.
• Discuss heating-cooling system issues with customers to isolate problems.
• Record and report faults and time/materials on work orders.
• Install thermostats, humidistats, and timers.
• Assemble and mount heating or cooling equipment per blueprints.
