Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. is hiring an HVAC/R Service Technician in Springfield, IL to service, install, and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems. You will perform tests, analyze data, and provide recommendations to customers as needed.

The role reports to the Service Manager and requires field work at our Springfield facility with a focus on safe operation and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years HVAC maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting HVAC/R systems.
• Commitment to safety standards and clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and troubleshoot the condition of operating equipment and controls to ensure continued proper and safe operation.
• Perform routine repairs.
• Inspect and test systems operations.
• Determine customer concerns with their current applied HVAC/R systems.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Discuss mechanical malfunctions with customers.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, and time/materials expended on work orders.
• Install and assemble HVAC equipment following blueprints.
