Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an HVAC Systems Project Manager to lead life-cycle project management for renovations and new builds at multiple facilities in Texas. You will coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring HVAC and BAS systems meet performance and safety standards.

The role requires deep HVAC/BAS knowledge, project leadership, and the ability to manage scope, budget, and schedules within a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive experience installing, maintaining, and managing HVAC projects.
• Experience reviewing HVAC plans and specifications for code compliance.
• Healthcare, state agency, or non-profit project experience preferred.
• CAPM or PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex mechanical designs to ensure alignment with UMC/IMC codes.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and diagnostics for HVAC and BAS systems.
• Review contractor submittals and equipment data for performance.
• Oversee compliance checks on installed HVAC systems and components.
• Act as technical advisor and coordinate with engineers and contractors.
