Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction seeks a CAP HVAC Supervisor to oversee HVAC construction, installation and repair including chillers, boilers, and air handling equipment. Candidates should have journeyman-level trades, blueprint-reading ability, and strong teamwork for project success.

You will mentor offender workers, ensure work adheres to NC Building Codes and schedule, and coordinate with the CAP Mechanical Superintendent. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level trade skills in HVAC construction, installation and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret project drawings.
• Experience reading CPM schedules and construction methods.
• EPA Section 608 Certification Type II or Universal required.

Responsibilities

• Install, construct, repair HVAC equipment including chillers and boilers.
• Read schematics/blueprints and interpret project plans.
• Supervise offender labor, mentor workers, ensure safety and quality.
• Ensure work aligns with scope, budget, schedule and codes.
