Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, troubleshooting, keeping status reports, and ensuring safety and compliance on site. A strong customer-focused communicator is essential, with supervisory mentoring duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong interpersonal and people skills with good written and oral communications capability.
• Performs as a self-managed individual.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to understand budget activity per job.

Responsibilities

• Performs start-up and functionality checking on newly installed Commercial HVAC, equipment and systems.
• Checks operation per engineering or factory specifications and codes.
• Interprets drawings and advises supervisor of issues.
• Trains Start-Up Technicians and may assist with owner’s training.
• Disassembles/reassembles equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Diagnoses HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems as per plans.
• Maintains status reports on work completed.
• Operate vehicle and equipment safely and manage purchasing.
