Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Start Up Technician I (Apprentice) for Massachusetts. The role installs, commissions HVAC systems, performs basic troubleshooting, and ensures compliance with safety standards before client handover.

We offer hourly pay $24-$25, overtime eligibility, paid training, and clear growth toward Service Tech I/II. Candidates should have a high school diploma, EPA 608, and 1+ year HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA 608 certification required.
• NATE certification a plus.
• 1+ years HVAC experience in start-ups, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and controls.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Explain system operation and troubleshooting steps to customers.
• Document service activities and update system documentation.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers.
• Follow safety guidelines and perform regular safety checks.
• Shadow junior technicians and participate in training.
