Job summary

Atlantic Constructors Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Estimator to deliver complete estimates for HVAC and sheet metal projects from issued plans through bid day. You will manage takeoffs, pricing, and subcontractor quotes while coordinating with the Estimating Manager to align with bid strategies.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Travel to job sites may be required, and ongoing use of estimating software alongside Microsoft

Qualifications

• 2+ years' trades estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction
• 1+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience; knowledge of HVAC equipment a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control
• Fluent with interpreting plans, specs and cost data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete estimates for assigned projects across trades, mainly HVAC
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure coverage
• Review construction documents, bids, scopes of work and general conditions
• Distribute plans and addenda to subs via FTP or email
• Develop bid strategies and pre-bid/site visits as needed
• Enter estimates into job cost control system and support turnover meetings
