Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Estimator to deliver complete bids for HVAC and sheet metal projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You'll assemble estimates from plans, solicit subcontractor quotes, review documents, and coordinate with operations to ensure accurate cost projections. Travel to job sites may be required; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' trades estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• 1+ years' estimating/pre-construction experience; HVAC experience welcomed.
• Proficient with estimating software such as Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI.
• Strong understanding of construction assemblies and cost control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete estimates for projects from plans to bid day.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors for all scopes.
• Review documents including general conditions and instructions to bidders.
• Distribute plans and addenda via FTP and email.
• Develop bid strategies and participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Enter estimates into the cost control system and support turnover meetings.
