Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC in Houston, TX seeks an Area Sales Manager I, Commercial to develop relationships with architects, engineers, and specifiers, educating them on CITY MULTI VRF systems and other METUS products. You will expand specifications and drive sales within a defined territory.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering background or equivalent, 2–5 years of technical sales experience, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of technical sales experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC commercial sales channels and engineers/contractors preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend architect/engineer plans.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word; strong public speaking skills.
• Must reside in the Business Unit Geography and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with architects, engineers, and specifiers to educate on METUS products and applications.
• Deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and commercial sales channels.
• Support customers with site visits and service group members as needed.
• Participate in industry groups and trade shows.
• Enter and manage customer data, activities, and quotations in Salesforce CRM; manage project pipeline within CRM.
• Travel up to 40% for meetings and training (domestic and potentially international).
