Job summary

ModernControls is seeking a proactive Sales Executive to drive new commercial/industrial HVAC preventive maintenance and service contracts in D.C. and Baltimore markets.

This hunter role focuses on owner-direct customers, building trusted relationships, and delivering HVAC solutions that meet environmental, operational, and financial goals. You will travel within the sales territory, conduct site surveys, draft proposals, negotiate terms, and maintain CRM records.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in Industrial/Commercial HVAC is a plus.
• Proven track record in cold calling and appointment setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Make daily outbound calls and in-person visits to conduct site surveys and draft annual HVAC preventive maintenance proposals.
• Prospect, cold-call and network to develop leads and sales opportunities.
• Negotiate price and terms of maintenance contracts with decision-makers to close the sale.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers.
• Maintain records of all sales leads and customer accounts in CRM.
• Coordinate and attend site reviews and walkthroughs as required.
• Achieve sales and gross margin goals while delivering value and service.
