Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Mid South seeks a motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II to join its commercial construction team. You will work under experienced mechanics to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal systems including ductwork and HVAC components.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and quality craftsmanship, with opportunities to learn and advance within the trade. Travel to job sites and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience or equivalent trade school
• Ability to read blueprints and follow installation details
• Familiarity with SMACNA installation standards preferred
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as schedules require
• Reliable transportation to job sites

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of commercial HVAC sheet metal systems
• Install ductwork and HVAC components per SMACNA standards
• Assist with installing ATUs, RTUs, split systems, and related equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and installation details with guidance
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal using hand and power tools
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect materials
• Collaborate with sheet metal mechanics, foremen, and project managers
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times
• Complete tasks accurately with high quality workmanship
• Perform other duties as assigned
