Comfort Systems USA Mid South seeks an HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II for our commercial construction team. You will assist with fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal systems including ductwork and HVAC components under experienced supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic while developing advanced installation skills and coordinating with foremen and project teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years commercial HVAC sheet metal experience or apprenticeship.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation details.
• Ability to read a tape measure and make precise measurements.
• Familiarity with SMACNA installation standards preferred.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal systems.
• Install ductwork and HVAC components per standards.
• Assist with ATUs, RTUs, split systems and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and install details under guidance.
• Measure, cut, and install sheet metal with hand/power tools.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect materials.
• Collaborate with mechanics, foremen, PMs, and trades.
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies.
• Complete tasks with quality workmanship; perform other duties.
