Job summary

PremiStar in Monroe, OH is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, and related equipment. You will test and analyze data, provide recommendations, and ensure safe operation in a variety of environments.

The role requires 5 years of HVAC experience, proficiency with blueprints/diagrams, and the ability to read instructions. Strong communication and tool-use skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of HVAC level operation, maintenance & repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, electrical circuits and wiring, operating principles of motors, and local electrical codes.
• Communicate effectively with internal team and customers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Diagnose and resolve problems, read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material, and perform math.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot condition of operating equipment and controls to ensure continued safe operation and life cycle performance.
• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with their current applied HVAC systems.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
