Job summary

Service Experts is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose and service residential and light commercial equipment under minimal supervision. You will communicate with customers, resolve problems, and promote products and services.

The role requires 2+ years of HVAC experience, EPA certification, ability to read wiring diagrams, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll perform maintenance, parts handling, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years' experience in HVAC with technical training certification required.
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
• MUST have Mechanical Journeyman EPA and safety certifications required.
• Skilled at servicing heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision to perform residential and/or light commercial service and maintenance calls.
• Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
• Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
• Records all required information on a handheld device and completes forms neatly and accurately.
