We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician II to support commercial and industrial facility operations in Warren, OH. This role will be responsible for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing of HVAC systems and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, monitor, and maintain ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAV systems, DDC controls, ventilation systems, chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and evaluate system performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, control schematics, sequences of operation, service manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, piping repairs, brazing, lubrication, and control adjustments.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine root causes of HVAC failures.
- Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, operating logs, refrigerant logs, and other required documentation.
- Work with CMMS planners/schedulers and supervisors to support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
- Assist other maintenance personnel with major repairs and facility operations as needed.
- Follow OSHA regulations, safety policies, customer requirements, JHA procedures, and proper PPE practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, inventory, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency service calls as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license preferred.
- Experience working with commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with HVAC controls, DDC systems, ventilation, refrigerant systems, and preventive maintenance.
- Working knowledge of BMS and CMMS systems.
- Ability to safely use HVAC testing equipment, gauges, recovery systems, vacuum pumps, and diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling, brazing, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout, and hazardous material handling.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
