Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking an HVAC service technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments. You will forecast needs, coordinate with project teams, and ensure customer satisfaction at the job site.

The role requires 0–2 years of HVAC experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. EPA certification is preferred. Compensation is hourly with benefits, and opportunities for training and growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with handheld devices (smartphones/tablets).
• Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 12 months with clean record.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Direct customer contact on projects, diagnose and repair equipment and systems at the customer's location.
• Use tools and blueprints or engineering specs to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
• Maintain safety standards and asset security while on site.
