Parks Heating Cooling Plumbing & Electrical is seeking skilled HVAC Service Technicians for Evening or Weekend shifts in the Charlotte area. Ideal candidates will troubleshoot, repair, and service residential HVAC systems with a focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Ability to work either Weekend Shift (Friday–Monday) or Evening Shift (Mon–Fri, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and system testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, and IAQ equipment.
• Educate customers and present option sheets with the right products and services; assist with finance and maintenance plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and manage truck inventory.
• Mentor apprentices and participate in training and meetings.
• Ensure all systems function safely after repairs or installations and help meet revenue goals.

Weekend Shift (Friday–Monday) or Evening Shift (Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM). Responsibilities

• Understand residential HVAC systems in order to accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heating and cooling equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and system testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Physically capable of going through crawlspaces and attics when necessary.
• Educate customers and provide detailed option sheets with the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Ensure all systems are functioning properly and safely after repairs or installations.
• Understand service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Present yourself as professional and knowledgeable to earn customer trust, referrals, and repeat business.
• Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, and company retreats.
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets.

Qualifications

• Three (3)+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Availability to work one of our two flexible service schedules: Weekend Shift (Friday–Monday) or Evening Shift (Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM). We believe in work-life balance and allow team members to choose the schedule that best fits their lifestyle.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Knowledgeable of local HVAC codes and ability to apply them on the job.
• Experience with system diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service.
