Interstate Mechanical LLC is seeking an entry-level HVAC Service Technician for the Phoenix, AZ area. Join a team focused on design-build, commercial/industrial HVAC, and service maintenance.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, read schematics, complete start-ups, and document work accurately. Travel Arizona as needed; EPA certification required.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification required.
• HVAC technical training preferred; additional education is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and after-hours shutdowns.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and service requests.
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer instructions.
• Complete start-ups per manufacturer requirements.
• Document all work performed accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area on every job.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Use ServiceTrade and mobile work order systems.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Travel throughout Arizona as needed.

IMCOR is hiring an experienced entry level HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are one of Arizona’s most trusted mechanical contractors, specializing in commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing, service maintenance, and facility projects.

Our Service Department operates in a fast-paced environment where safety, accountability, and customer service come first. We are looking for a technician who can work independently, communicate professionally, and take pride in delivering quality service.

What You’ll Do

• Service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair applied and unitary HVAC systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and required after-hours shutdowns
• Respond to emergency maintenance and service requests
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer instructions
• Complete start-ups in accordance with manufacturer requirements
• Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain a clean and safe work area on every job
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• Use mobile work order systems, including ServiceTrade
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
• Travel throughout Arizona as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Universal EPA Certification required
• HVAC technical training preferred; additional education is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements with an acceptable driving record and background history for the previous 5 years
• Ability to work independently and safely
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on customer needs
• Ability to respond to emergency service requests
• Experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC equipment and systems

Preferred Experience

• Line sets and brazing techniques
• Reading and interpreting diagrams and schematics
• Chiller service experience; factory training or certifications a plus
• Critical cooling systems experience; factory training or certifications a plus
• Boiler service experience
• Hydronic pump systems, applications, troubleshooting, and start-up
