Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to serve as the primary on-site contact for a defined market in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial settings, coordinating with clients and colleagues to ensure top-notch service.

You will leverage your HVAC knowledge, pipe fitting, and mechanical layout skills to diagnose and repair equipment while maintaining safety and professionalism in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 5+ years of HVAC experience.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license for minimum 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with team leader and customer to understand on-site requirements and forecast issues.
• Represents the company as the direct customer contact on assigned projects and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Uses blueprints, specifications, and tools to diagnose and repair HVAC units on site.
• Maintains safety standards and secures company assets; works overtime and weekends as needed.
