Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling seeks a residential HVAC technician in Bloomington, IL. EPA certification with service and sales experience is required. You will assess home HVAC needs, quote prices, perform repairs, and install IAQ products while communicating clearly with customers.

Training will expand knowledge and future certifications are encouraged. We offer competitive base pay with SPIFFS and commissions, plus a comprehensive benefits package and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• EPA certified residential HVAC technicians with service and sales experience.
• Ability to determine service needs, quote prices and perform repairs.
• Interact with customers professionally in homes/businesses.
• Understand residential HVAC operation, IAQ, air distribution and basic repairs.
• Attend training to expand knowledge and pursue further certifications.
• Capable of troubleshooting and installing IAQ products per codes.

Desired Skills

• Candidates must have the ability to learn to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.

• Candidates will understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.


• Attend training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise and further certifications expected.


• All interested candidates must currently be able to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 25 lbs.


• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead


• Must be able to climb and work on ladders


• Must be able to use hand and power tools
