Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking a Residential HVAC Technician to service and repair heating and cooling systems in customer homes across Indiana. You will diagnose issues, quote prices, and deliver excellent customer service on every call.

The role requires EPA certification, experience in residential service and sales, and the ability to communicate clearly with homeowners. Expect on-the-job training, growth opportunities, and a supportive, employee-owned culture with healthcare

Qualifications

• EPA certified Residential HVAC Technician with experience in residential service and sales.
• Ability to determine HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Strong communication with customers in homes/businesses.
• Understand HVAC operation, IAQ, air distribution, and basic repairs.
• Attend training and pursue further certifications.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair various residential HVAC systems and install IAQ products.
• Lift up to 75 lbs; crawl, climb, kneel, squat, reach overhead; climb ladders.
• Use hand and power tools; valid driver's license; pass drug tests and background checks.

Qualifications

• We are searching for highly motivated EPA certified Residential HVAC Technicians with experience in residential service and sales.
• Candidates must have the ability to learn to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Employees must be able to interact and communicate well with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Candidates will understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.
• Attend training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise and further certifications expected.
• All interested candidates must currently be able to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and coworkers.
• Be thorough in inspections, and accurate in quoting replacements or repairs.
• Completion of proposed work as quoted.
• Participate in on-call assignments and back-up as required.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.

• Follow the outline of company policies and procedures.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.
