HVAC TECHNICIAN
Columbus, MS

Join a growing HVAC company where 3 focused calls a day (not 4) means real time for full system diagnoses — not rushed patch jobs. This is a shop that pays for your training, funds your tools, and rewards you for doing the job right with real commission on top of a strong base.

THE BASICS
Location: Columbus, MS
Pay: $25–$30/hr base + commission (3% on service tickets; 4–6% tiered on system installs; first month's payment on service plans)
Schedule: 7:15 AM arrival, work starts 7:30 AM. Typical end time 4:00–5:00 PM — usually 4:00 PM off-season, can run 5:00–6:00 PM during peak. Half-day Sundays available for those who want to attend church, starting around 12:00 PM.
On-Call: Rotating on-call schedule; last call taken by 8:00 PM. Weekend work limited to emergencies or service-plan customers. $200 stipend + time-and-a-half for hours beyond 8/day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems across a residential/commercial mix (mostly residential)
• Run full system diagnoses on each call rather than quick fixes — this is a shop that wants technicians upselling smart, not just patching
• Install and service equipment from major brands (Mitsubishi, Bosch, American Standard, Ameristar)
• Recommend system upgrades and service plans where they genuinely make sense
• Rotate into the on-call schedule as part of a 6-person team
• Keep clean, accurate records in the company's field service software
