Job summary

Yellowstone Local represents Affordable Fixes, an industry leader in residential and light commercial HVAC services, in Southampton, Pennsylvania. The HVAC Service Technician role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining systems for residential and light commercial clients within a 30–45 minute radius.

Expect weekday hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating Saturdays, OT opportunities, and a strong emphasis on customer communication, safety, and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification required.
• 6+ years HVAC service experience, residential focus preferred.
• Light commercial HVAC experience is a plus.
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (mechanical & electrical).
• Ability to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain heating and cooling equipment.
• Professional customer communication skills.
• Experience using ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Zip Solutions, or similar field service software.
• Comfortable monitoring service KPIs (average ticket, close rate, calls per day).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to independently manage a full HVAC service route.
• Availability for rotating Saturdays.
• Commitment to quality workmanship, accurate documentation, organization, and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, ventilation, indoor air quality, mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control system issues.
• Repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, HVAC tune-ups, system inspections, and diagnostic testing.
• Explain findings to homeowners in straightforward terms and provide clear repair or replacement options without high-pressure tactics.
• Deliver professional customer service throughout each service appointment.
• Use field service software such as ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Zip Solutions, or similar platforms to document service calls and customer information.

Your New Role

• Work as an HVAC Service Technician in Southampton, Pennsylvania, serving residential and light commercial customers throughout the surrounding area, generally within a 30 to 45-minute service radius.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, ventilation, indoor air quality, mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control system issues.

• Repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, HVAC tune-ups, system inspections, and diagnostic testing.

• Explain findings to homeowners in straightforward terms and provide clear repair or replacement options without high-pressure tactics.

• Deliver professional customer service throughout each service appointment.

• Use field service software such as ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Zip Solutions, or similar platforms to document service calls and customer information.

• Monitor service performance metrics such as average ticket, close rate, and calls completed per day.

• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and other team members.

• Maintain an organized company vehicle, workspace, service documentation, and job site.

• Take ownership of completed HVAC repairs and maintain high workmanship standards.

• Work independently on a full service route while supporting the broader team.

• 6+ years of HVAC service experience preferred, with residential HVAC experience as the primary focus

• Light commercial HVAC experience is a plus

• EPA Certification required

• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain heating and cooling equipment

• Professional customer communication skills with the ability to clearly explain HVAC findings and service options

• Experience using ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Zip Solutions, or comparable field service software

• Comfortable monitoring service KPIs, including average ticket, close rate, and calls per day
