Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Field Operations team. You’ll service, repair, and maintain commercial and residential HVAC systems while ensuring safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day duties include diagnosing equipment, reading wiring diagrams, installing thermostats, and handling refrigerants with care. You will document work, communicate clearly with customers, and uphold OSHA standards and safety practices in all

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience
• Strong understanding of HVAC codes, diagnostics, and safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, manuals, and schematics
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency; ability to work in multi-level environments (must be comfortable with heights)

Responsibilities

• Service and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, water heaters, ductless mini-splits, air handlers, and ventilation systems
• Perform electrical diagnostics, thermostat installations, and ensure all wiring meets code
• Safely handle refrigerants, including charging, recovery, and leak detection
• Troubleshoot system issues quickly and accurately
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Work collaboratively with apprentices, fellow technicians, and contractors
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining findings and recommendations
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure proper care of tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Complete service checklists, refrigerant logs, and photo documentation
• Follow all company safety standards and OSHA guidelines
