Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for an immediate opening. This is a hands‑on field service role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing HVAC systems at residential and light commercial customer locations.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while providing professional customer service.
What You'll Do
- Travel to residential and commercial customer locations for scheduled service calls.
- Diagnose HVAC system issues and customer concerns.
- Inspect heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for proper operation, efficiency, and safety.
- Perform HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment as needed.
- Service, install, and repair indoor and outdoor units, air ducts, drain pans, drain lines, and related components.
- Braze and solder piping connections.
- Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistats, solenoids, timers, and controls.
- Diagnose inoperative indoor and outdoor units and determine appropriate repairs.
- Replace or repair defective electrical and mechanical components.
- Perform drain cleaning, coil sanitizing, motor lubrication, and other routine maintenance.
- Test completed repairs using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, airflow instruments, and other HVAC diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and HVAC resources.
- Clearly communicate system issues, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of residential and light commercial HVAC experience.
- Completion of an HVAC technical program, vocational program, or apprenticeship.
- Current state-required HVAC technician license.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- NATE Certification.
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation skills.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Ability to braze and solder HVAC piping.
- Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic equipment, manual tools, and power tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Own HVAC tools required for field service work.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
