Job summary

Comfort Systems USA, Mid South is seeking an experienced field service HVAC technician in Huntsville, AL. You will maintain and troubleshoot large commercial systems and travel to nearby sites as needed.

Requires a minimum of 5 years of field service, BAS familiarity, and ability to log tickets via iPad. Comprehensive benefits and a competitive pay package are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years field service experience in HVAC.
• Maintenance and detailed troubleshooting of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Basic understanding of Building Automation Systems (Trane, Honeywell, JCI).
• Familiar with VRF service software from major manufacturers.
• Able to fill out service tickets and time sheets on iPad.
• Travel between Huntsville and Birmingham as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems.
• Fill out service tickets and time sheets electronically (iPad).
• Travel to customer sites between Huntsville and Birmingham when required.

Job description

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years field service
• Able to perform maintenance and detailed troubleshooting of commercial HVAC equipment including but not limited to: Packaged RTU’s, large split systems, VRF systems, cooling towers, air cooled chillers, Variable Frequency Drives, pumps & motors.
• Basic understanding, operation, and navigation of common Building Automation Systems, (i.e. Trane, Honeywell, JCI ect.)
• Familiar with different manufacture’s service software for VRF systems (i.e. Mitsubishi, Daikin, Sanyo, Toshiba, Fujitsu ect.)
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited guidance from management.
• Fill out service tickets and time sheets electronically (iPad) and send via email
• Travel as necessary during peak seasons between Huntsville & Birmingham.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
• Ability to pass MVR check
• Ability to pass a physical ability test
