Edelman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric & Solar is hiring an HVAC Service Technician for multiple Illinois locations. Base pay ranges from $20.00 to $40.00 per hour, with entry-level and experienced tiers, plus performance incentives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred.
• EPA Type II certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems.
• Complete quality service work while minimizing callbacks.
• Clearly explain findings and available options to customers.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and company standards.
• Participate in ongoing technical training.

Base Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience

Entry-Level Technicians: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experienced Technicians: $26.00-$40.00 per hour

Plus Performance Incentives: Average technicians earn an additional $2.00-$3.00 per hour, while top-performing technicians can earn approximately $5.00 more per hour based on performance.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 AM, with a minimal rotating on-call schedule.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of HVAC experience with a strong willingness and ability to learn for entry-level consideration
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for experienced-level placement
• Professional, customer-focused communication skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving history
• EPA Type II certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting
