Job summary

Bay Breeze Heating and Cooling is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Davidsonville, MD to service and repair residential heating and cooling systems. You will diagnose issues across heat pumps, A/C, gas, and oil units, delivering quality workmanship on every call.

This position offers regular hours, on-call rotation, and benefits such as medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. A positive attitude and problem-solving mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting across heat pumps, A/C, gas, oil, geothermal.
• Experience with smart repair vs. replace decisions.
• Knowledge of sheet metal practices and air balancing.
• Ability to charge systems using superheat and sub-cooling.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain NATE Certification and Low Voltage license within 2 years.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on skills, experience, performance, and ongoing training)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Alternating on-call schedule for 24/7 emergency coverage (some weekends and evenings required)

What You'll Do:

• Perform professional service, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of residential heating and air conditioning systems
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences on every call
• Provide valuable feedback to the Service Manager on technical training needs, inventory, and pricing

What We're Looking For:

• 2-3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting skills across many types of equipment (heat pumps, A/C, gas, oil, geothermal, etc.)
• Experience making smart repair vs. replace decisions
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices and air balancing principles
• Ability to charge systems using superheat and sub-cooling methods
• CFC certifications (minimum Type 1 and 2)
• Advanced customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to obtain NATE certification and Low Voltage License within 2 years of employment
• A positive attitude and desire to take on responsibility and leadership roles
