Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Ohio is looking for a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of commercial HVAC equipment, including RTUs, AHUs, heat pumps, boilers, and more.

Ideal candidates read wiring diagrams and schematics, have EPA refrigerant certification, and hold a valid driver’s license. You’ll travel to customer sites in a company vehicle and mentor junior technicians while upholding safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• Must have solid hands-on commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with HVAC electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
• Working on RTUs, AHUs, heat pumps, boilers, split systems, pumps, motors, and commercial cooling equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and controls issues.
• Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, startups, and system testing.
• Talking with customers about findings and recommendations.
• Helping less-experienced technicians when needed.
• Traveling to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join Comfort Systems USA Ohio. If you enjoy troubleshooting challenging service calls, working independently, and taking pride in getting the job done right, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
• Working on RTUs, AHUs, heat pumps, boilers, split systems, pumps, motors, and commercial cooling equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and controls issues
• Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, startups, and system testing
• Talking with customers about what you found and what you recommend
• Helping less-experienced technicians when they need another set of eyes
• Traveling to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle

What We’re Looking For

• Solid hands-on commercial HVAC service experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills and confidence working independently
• Experience with HVAC electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
• Familiarity with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• EPA refrigerant certification
