Job summary

Perfection Group is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Dayton team. You will service a variety of commercial/industrial HVAC systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide on-site guidance to customers and junior technicians.

You’ll work with a team on a rotating on-call schedule, maintain equipment to high safety standards, and take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• Universal EPA Section 608 certification.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, rooftops, split systems and heat pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and controls issues.
• Identify repairs and develop practical solutions.
• Explain conditions and next steps clearly to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Work independently while coordinating with dispatch to maintain schedules.
• Document service calls and resolutions using company software.
• Participate in rotating emergency on-call schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area, vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Share knowledge with less-experienced technicians.
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training.

Perfection Group is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Dayton team.

We’re looking for a highly skilled technician who takes pride in solving complex problems, communicating well with customers, and delivering safe, high-quality work. You’ll service a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while helping less-experienced technicians develop their skills.

Paid drive time, additional on-call compensation, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training are provided. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Identify necessary repairs and develop practical, effective solutions
• Explain equipment conditions, repair recommendations, and next steps clearly to customers
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Work independently while coordinating with dispatch to maintain customer schedules
• Communicate schedule changes or delays promptly
• Document service calls, repairs, and resolutions accurately using company software
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, company vehicle, tools, and assigned equipment
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training

You May Be a Great Fit If You

• Have five or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• Possess strong hands-on knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Understand commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems
• Diagnose complex problems accurately and develop practical solutions
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
• Build trust through technical expertise, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through
• Work independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
• Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, vehicle, tools, and customer commitments
• Take pride in completing safe, accurate, high-quality work

• Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
