Job summary

Brown Cooling, Heating, Plumbing and Electrical in Birmingham, AL is seeking a self-motivated HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment and provide value to customers.

This full-time role offers uncapped pay potential, medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance, a matching 401(k), ongoing training and development, paid holidays and PTO, and opportunities for advancement in a growing team.

Qualifications

• HVAC installation experience preferred
• HVAC service experience at least 1 year (required)
• EPA Type II certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
• Ability to handle heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Present recommendations for new equipment and provide value to customer
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
• Prioritize customer service and satisfaction
• Attend periodic company or manufacturer training
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Consistently work with and handle at least 50lbs

What You Will Do

• Diagnose and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Present recommendations for new equipment and provide value to customer

Who You Are

• 1-5 Years HVAC installation experience preferred
• HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school
• Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record
• Ability to handle heavy equipment
