Job summary

One Source Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential systems. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance with a focus on customer service.

You will work on heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment, document activities, and stay current with industry advancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Install/repair/replace components like compressors, motors, thermostats, etc.
• Coordinate with team and communicate with customers about repairs.
• Document service activities and time spent on each job.
• Stay updated on industry advancements to improve skills.

About the Role: As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair residential HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting systems.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they expand.
• Install, repair, or replace components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
• Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge.

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

HVAC Service Technician Interpersonal Qualifications:

Compensation:

Hourly + commission. Potential earnings up to 120K
