Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to join our North America team, focusing on light commercial and commercial HVACR service. Our people are safety driven and committed to delivering reliable facilities support.

You'll gain factory certification through our STA, work with Journeymen and apprentices, and use tools and a company vehicle. Travel 15–30% may be required to serve branch customers and perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Member or willing to join Local 601 Milwaukee Steamfitters & Refrigeration.
• Min 5 years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators.
• Travel 15–30% to support branch customers.
• Must pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Opportunity for career development and training in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Work with local market mechanics, Servicemen and apprentices.
• Attention to detail; ability to write and communicate problems, causes, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial HVACR systems.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Upsell opportunities and participate in Service Plus Rewards program.
• Collaborate with Journeymen and apprentices to troubleshoot and repair.
• Travel to branch customers as needed to support activities.
