Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial and industrial equipment including rooftops, chillers and boilers. You’ll receive training through in-person and online programs and work across multiple locations in the DC/MD/VA area.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, component repairs, documentation, and customer communication. Eligibility for EPA Universal Technician and OSHA 10 is preferred, with company-provided safety and onboarding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's degree or technical school HVAC certificate preferred
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification preferred
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided)
• Current first aid / CPR card preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters, belts, and lubrication
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to various HVAC systems
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and reports in a timely manner
• Interact with customers by providing status updates and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety policies
