Job summary

Jobot is seeking an HVAC Service / Start-Up Technician to support start-up, commissioning, and ongoing service on large-scale construction projects in the Southeast. You will diagnose and resolve issues in VRF/VRV/DX systems, handle warranty work, and document activities while traveling regionally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC service, start-up, warranty, and/or commissioning experience.
• Strong experience with VRF, VRV, and DX systems on large-scale projects.
• Solid refrigeration troubleshooting knowledge and problem solving.
• Experience on multifamily, high-rise, or commercial installations.
• EPA Universal Certification; manufacturer training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC equipment start-up and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform service and warranty work on installed equipment.
• Work with VRF/VRV/DX systems and verify performance.
• Coordinate with field supervision, project teams, and trades.

This is not a traditional residential HVAC service role. We are looking for someone with strong technical experience in HVAC start-up, commissioning, service, warranty, refrigeration, and troubleshooting on large-scale commercial or multifamily projects.

Job Details

As an HVAC Service / Start-Up Technician, you will support the start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, warranty, and ongoing service of HVAC systems on large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC equipment start-up and commissioning
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform service and warranty work on installed equipment
• Work extensively with VRF, VRV, and DX systems
• Diagnose refrigerant, controls, and equipment performance issues
• Verify systems are installed and operating according to manufacturer specifications
• Coordinate with field supervision, project teams, manufacturers, and other trades
• Document start-up, testing, service, and commissioning activitiesMaintain company-provided service equipment and vehicle
• Travel regionally to support active projects throughout the Southeast

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of HVAC service, start-up, warranty, and/or commissioning experience
• Strong experience with VRF, VRV, and DX systems
• Solid understanding of refrigeration systems and troubleshooting
• Experience working on large-scale multifamily, high-rise, and/or commercial projects
• EPA Universal Certification
• Manufacturer training or certifications from Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, or similar manufacturers are a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Stable employment history preferred
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and growth-oriented
