Job summary

AMPAM is seeking a Project Manager for service HVAC in the Los Angeles area. The role demands delivering medium-to-large mechanical service projects safely, on time, and within budget while upholding high quality standards.

You will lead project teams, manage financial performance at the project level, and serve as the primary contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of progressive experience managing HVAC Service / owner direct projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage medium-to-large project budgets ($100k–$1M+)
• Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and building codes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned HVAC projects.
• Supervise Project Coordinators & Assistant Project Manager teams to achieve schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
• Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and accountability.
• Maintain project-level budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead change order management, cost recovery, and margin improvement strategies.
• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, architects, and engineers on assigned projects.
• Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and positive references.
