Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Ohio is hiring a Director of Service Operations to lead the Cincinnati commercial HVAC service business. You will steer day-to-day execution, financial performance, and customer experience while developing the Service organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership in commercial HVAC/mechanical service.
• Experience leading both field and office service operations.
• Strong financial and operational judgment with data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution and performance of the commercial HVAC Service department with accountability for safety, efficiency, and profitability.
• Provide leadership to the Service Manager and Service Administration Manager with clear expectations.
• Oversee field operations, dispatch, scheduling, customer communication, and administrative support.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, labor productivity, gross margin, and service profitability.
• Collaborate with Service Sales Manager to fulfill service agreements and repairs.
• Assess staffing and capacity to meet demand and business needs.
• Use KPIs to identify trends and drive improvements in productivity and service delivery.
• Develop processes to improve scheduling, billing readiness, and customer experience.
• Serve as escalation point for major customer issues and maintain relationships.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork with cross-functional partners.
