Job summary

Christianson Air Conditioning & Plumbing in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the Residential HVAC Service Department. The role offers a competitive salary and a performance-based annual bonus.

You will lead technicians and schedulers, coordinate staffing with HR, and ensure high standards of customer service and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven management or relatable experience in HVAC is preferred, but multiple factors will be considered.
• Energetic and flexible with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, in a fast-paced environment and work well with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to HVAC Trades.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
• Takes pride in their work and does their job to the best of their ability.
• General construction knowledge and understanding with high standards for occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.
• Have a valid Driver’s License as frequent travel to job sites will be required.
• Be able to pass a drug screen and have a clean record.
• Air Conditioner and other Mechanical Certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the HVAC day-to-day operations with leadership across divisions.
• Respond to customer service issues by phone or in person and resolve problems.
• Coach, mentor and lead service technicians and schedulers.
• Collaborate with HR/Recruiting to ensure staffing levels meet workload demands.
• Evaluate staff to plan improvements or replacements.
• Ensure payroll processes are accurate and timely.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
