Job summary

Christianson Air Conditioning & Plumbing seeks a Service Manager to oversee daily operations of the Residential HVAC Service Department in Round Rock, TX. The role offers a competitive salary plus a performance-based annual bonus.

The ideal candidate will have HVAC management experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven management or relatable experience in HVAC is preferred.
• Energetic and flexible with attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to HVAC trades.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly.
• Drug screen and clean record required.
• HVAC certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage HVAC day-to-day operations and lead the division’s personnel and processes.
• Respond to customer service complaints by phone, email, or in person and resolve issues.
• Coach, mentor, and lead service technicians and schedulers; support staff development.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure staffing aligns with workload and customer expectations.
• Evaluate staff and training needs; plan improvements or replacements as needed.
• Ensure payroll processes are accurate and timely.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with peers and stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and coordinate the HVAC day-to-day operations and provide leadership to all personnel and processes of the divisions
• Respond to customer service complaints by phone, email, or meet with the customer in person, resolve problems and follow through until a resolution has been reached
• Coach, mentor and lead the service technicians and schedulers. Play an important part in the employees’ development
• Work closely with HR/Recruiting to ensure appropriate staffing levels are meeting workload demands, company requirements and customer expectations.
• Evaluate staff to determine training needs, strengths and weaknesses and determine a plan for improvements or replacement.
• Ensure employee payroll processes are accurate in a timely manner to ensure the employee and the payroll department are both served
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and others with whom he/she will have contact with
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven management or relatable experience in HVAC is preferred, but multiple factors will be considered
• Energetic and flexible with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external)
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, in a fast-paced environment and work well with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to HVAC Trades
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly, professionally and concisely
• Takes pride in their work and does their job to the best of their ability
• General construction knowledge and understanding with high standards for occupational hazards and standard safety procedures
• Have a valid Driver’s License as frequent travel to job sites will be required
• Be able to pass a drug screen and have a clean record
• Air Conditioner and other Mechanical Certifications are a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not required
