H. A. Thompson & Sons, a reputable HVAC company in Bismarck, ND, is seeking an HVAC Service Manager to join our team.

This full-time role leads the service department, ensures contractual commitments are met, and develops the workforce for high-quality field operations. The candidate will manage scheduling, training, and customer relations while driving continuous improvement and on-time maintenance delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in HVAC service or field management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and manage maintenance contracts.

Responsabilités

• Time Management/Planning: schedule personnel and materials with the dispatcher.
• Documentation: train staff and ensure timely completion of paperwork.
• Sales Participation: support sales on calls and report leads.
• Codes, Standards and System Requirements: ensure permits and design assistance to sales.
• Field Productivity: maximize output per labor hour and maintain morale.
• Status Reporting: regular reviews and recommendations to GM.
• Material Control: ensure efficient use of equipment and materials.
• Expense Control: monitor costs to maximize resource utilization.
• Customer Relations: address complaints to maintain satisfaction.
• Training: develop programs to improve staff skills.
• Continuous Recruitment: build network of contacts.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
