Brandt Heating and Air Conditioning in Iowa City, IA, seeks a Service Manager to lead our service team. The role includes dispatch coordination, field coaching, and ensuring quality repairs while optimizing workflow and safety.

A license and 3+ years in service management are required, with opportunities for growth and training through Interplay Learning. The position offers a full-time schedule, on-site work, and a base pay range of $80,000 to $150,000 with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in customer service or management within a service industry (or equivalent education/experience).
• State of Iowa HVAC License required.
• NATE certification preferred (Level 4+ technician criteria).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Broad HVAC troubleshooting across furnaces, AC, geothermal, heat pumps, boilers, and rooftop units.
• Strong computer skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dispatch, manage seasonal inventory forecasts, and coach technicians on diagnostics and communication.
• Oversee repair vs replacement decisions and ensure company payment procedures are followed.
• Lead in-house training sessions and update training plans in Interplay Learning.
• Collaborate with install on technical recommendations and review callbacks to prevent recurrences.
• Maintain safety, code compliance, and keep vehicles/tools inspection-ready.
• Develop relationships with local trade schools to support recruiting; document hours and materials.
