Job summary

Trane Technologies in Springdale, AR is hiring a Service Estimator to prepare quotes for HVAC service projects and agreements, partnering with Account Managers and building owners to deliver total solution energy efficiency. You will create detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment, develop scope, and review vendor quotes to ensure accurate pricing.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field or 1–3 years estimating experience, HVAC

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology or related study preferred; or minimum 1–3 years’ related estimating experience.
Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.
Preferred experience with financial and business acumen and a history of running projects on time and on budget.
Experience working directly with building owners is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create quotes for service agreements and quoted works in support of Account Managers and Controls Service Account Managers.
Prepare cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities.
Develops detailed scope based on Account Managers design-build scope and creates detailed take-offs and pricing of purchased equipment.
Identify possible cost saving opportunities and/or risk items that will occur on various projects and negotiate prices with vendors/sub-contractors.
Hold job pre-bid meetings with Account Managers to review scope and strategy.
