Job summary

Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC is seeking a Senior HVAC/Plumbing Estimator in Massachusetts. You will read AutoCAD drawings, develop profitable bids, and lead major estimates for high-profile projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HVAC/Plumbing estimating, a related bachelor's degree, and proficiency with QuickPen/Accubid, BlueBeam, and Excel. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or similar preferred.
• Knowledge of state HVAC and plumbing codes and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Read AutoCAD drawings to prepare estimates.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and develop profitable bids.
• Estimate projects and major buyouts of projects.
• Visit with clients, general contractors and engineers.
• Coordinate manpower, provide schedules, and train junior estimators.
• Review subcontractor quotes and develop conceptual estimates.

Job description

We are a large growing HVAC/Plumbing contractor in Massachusetts that works on many of Massachusetts's biggest and best HVAC/Plumbing projects. This is a full-time position with great benefits. We are planning to hire Massachusetts's best and brightest HVAC/Plumbing Senior Estimators in the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Read AutoCAD Drawings.
• Look for value engineering opportunities.
• Estimating projects and major buyout of projects.
• Visit with clients, general contractors and engineers.
• Identify and communicate conflicts and errors in estimates.
• Develop effective, profitable winning bids for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate manpower and provide schedules, and train junior estimators.
• Build Conceptual Estimates, and review with Sub-contractor the estimates and quotes.

Requirements

• Local
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing Estimating.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or similar preferred.
• Knowledge in: State HVAC and Plumbing Codes, Quickpen/Accubid, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Excel.
