Hands-on training leads to an Outside Sales Engineer role, where you manage accounts, drive growth, and support project proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or related field.
• Strong interest in a career in technical sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and eager to learn from mentors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist estimators and sales engineers with accurate HVAC equipment estimates.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Use OST software for material take-offs and product pricing tools.
• Learn Tom Barrow’s products, processes, and customers.
• Shadow Outside Sales Engineers to observe client interactions.
• Develop relationships with contractors, engineers, and building owners.
• Promote Tom Barrow’s HVAC products and services to clients.
• Provide technical consultation, product recommendations, and project support.
• Prepare and present proposals, bids, and quotes tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams for timely, accurate execution.
